Terms and Conditions

iKids Domain Home Tuition (iKids Domain) service agreements are created to serve the best interest of all involved parties which include students, parents, guardians, tutors, and administrative personnel. iKids Domain reserves the right to alter the service agreement without any prior notice.

Tutoring Period

All tuition assignments are minimally signed-up based on one session a week over four weeks per month.  Example, if a client signed up for a once a week session, there will be four sessions a month even though there may be a fifth week in the month. Similarly, if a client signed up for twice a week sessions, there will be eight sessions a month even though there may be a fifth week in the month.  It will be on a similar basis for clients that signed up for three, four, five, six or seven sessions a week. If the tutoring period is not specifically declared, the client and tutor should be prepared to commit to tutoring until the end of the year or more than three months.

Location of Tutoring Lessons

Tutors will conduct teaching at the student’s residence unless specified and agreed upon by both client and tutor.

Tuition Rates

Actual tuition rates differ for each tutor, depending on several factors. The ranges of tuition rates listed on our site are to be used as a reference only.

iKids Domain Commission

Commission refers to the amount iKids Domain levies for a successfully matched tuition assignment. A tutor’s first two weeks tuition fees will be paid to iKids Domain as commission by the client. After the initial two week period, clients will pay the remaining tuition fees directly to the tutor. However, if the tuition assignment has a duration of less than three months, the commission will be evenly divided between tutors and clients. This will be confirmed between the client and the tutor prior to the beginning of tutoring. In the event of cancellation either by the client or tutor anytime during the first month, half of the amount will be paid to iKids Domain as commission.

Tutors are not allowed to change the tuition fees or commission in any way for the first month without the consent of iKids Domain. Payment collection details will be discussed and confirmed once tuition assignments are successfully matched. Payment can be made to the tuition agency in the form of Internet Banking, ATM Fund Transfer, Credit Card through Paypal or cash.

Tutor Reassignment or Cancellation

If at any time the client is not satisfied with the tutor, the client may request a replacement. However, the client is responsible for paying the attended tuition fees.

Cancellation of Assignment

If a client cancels the tuition due to a tutor not showing up for a session, the tutor must bear the first month’s commission for iKids Domain. In the event where the tutor cancels the lesson before the start or during the first month, the tutor must get a replacement who is of equivalent and able to meet all the requirements. Otherwise, the tutor has to bear the full amount of the commission.

Tutor Registration

iKids Domain does not automatically accept all tutor applicants. We require a prospective tutor to be at least 16 years old, hold a minimum of GCE ‘O’ level certificate, and resides in Singapore. Also, tutors must confirm their eligibility to perform private tutoring in Singapore prior to registration.

Tutor Qualifications

iKids Domain expects all tutors to provide accurate personal information at all times. All posted content, whether publicly or privately transmitted, is the sole responsibility of the tutor.  iKids Domain does not take responsibility for the origin of this content.
